Common Alloys for Welding

Tool Steel
Hardened steels such as S-7, H-13, P-20, D-2, CPM, and M-2

Aluminum
6061, 7075, 5356

Magnesium
Magnesium can be welded by the mobile welding process. Magnesium like aluminum is produced with different tempers. These are based on heat treatment and work hardening.

Cast Iron
Cast Iron is difficult to weld, mobile welding allows for many parameter adjustments to be made to help control the process.

Bronze
Mobile welding can be used to accurately control brazing of Bronze.

Copper
Copper and most copper alloys can be joined by the mobile welding process.

Cobalt
Welding-cobalt is done with mobile welding, resistance spot welding and with high energy processes.

Nickel
Mobile welding processes can be used to weld nickel and its alloys and matching welding consumables are available.
